I am a European. My roots lie in the rich and varied culture of this continent. Given its history we Europeans share a responsability to overcome a too outspoken nationalism, a petty provincialism, fear driven racism.
Although I'm not a painter with a (political) mission, I work on a project in which I paint a city and a landscape of all the member states of the European Union. This summer of 2016 has been dedicated to Malta, that crossroad of cultures. In 2017 and 2018 i'm working on other parts of the Mediterrean.
Occasionally I've used a work of a European painter as a starting point for my painting (in the credits I mention the specific artist).
